Shonda Werts Caldwell’s culinary journey began at the age of 17 when she first stepped into the kitchen, learning the art of cooking from the strong, loving women in her family. Those formative years spent absorbing family recipes and techniques ignited a deep passion for food that would grow alongside her own family.
After starting her own household, Shonda’s love for cooking blossomed into a business venture. Alongside her mother, she began cooking and selling dinners, gaining a loyal following and refining her skills. In 2017, the family’s dream of opening a restaurant became a reality, marking the first chapter in what would be an incredible culinary legacy.
In 2019, Shonda’s vision expanded with the establishment of Blessed By the Best, a food service business that quickly gained popularity for its flavorful dishes and commitment to quality. Today, Blessed By the Best serves communities across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, bringing comfort food and a taste of home to many.
Shonda’s mission is more than just serving delicious meals—she aims to create a lasting legacy for her children and granddaughter. Her goal is to continue expanding her reach, uplifting her community, and building a business that stands as a testament to the power of family, hard work, and perseverance.
